I recently had an opportunity to hunt a piece of private property in the Low Country of South Carolina. The site was absolutely littered with iron, but relics were there if you had the right machine.
I have been metal detecting since 1974, so I guess you could say I have acquired "some experience" in the hobby. It is the dreams of every detecting enthusiast to one day uncover a gold coin. That dream recently came true for me, after 37+ years of searching.
THESE WERE ALL FOUND WITH THE TEKNETICS® T2 Ltd AND G2. They are a Confederate Script C button, early 2 piece Rifleman's, real nice 1850s Haviland and Stevenson token from Charleston, SC, a scarce .41 caliber Volcanic bullet, real nice heel plate and a Ferdinand VII 8 Maravedis.
My wife and I were at the detecting rally near Oxford, and my wife, the detecting addict in our family, found several coins with the Tecknetics® T2. The coins in the top row are Roman, the coins in the middle rows are medieval and Georgian and those in the lower row are Victorian sovereign and half sovereign.
The Teknetics T2 helped me find an $8,000+ meteorite. The find is an 830-gram Whitecourt Meteorite from the Canadian crater just south of Whitecourt, Alberta. I donated the piece to the University of Alberta in Edmonton.
I used the Tecknetics® ALPHA 2000 and its 11” coil to find a fabulous hoard of 50 silver medieval coins (French and Spanish) from 16th and 17th centuries.
